Types of Sessions

“In 10 sessions you’ll feel the difference,
in 20 sessions you’ll see the difference and
in 30 sessions… you’ll have a different body”
Joseph H. Pilates

Initial Assessment
Anyone regardless of prior Pilates experience coming in to Fit First Pilates Marin for the first time must first do an initial assessment. In this assessment we will look at training goals, past and present work out and medical history, and create a physical road map so we can best design a program to fit your needs. During this session you will also spend time on the Pilates equipment so by the end of this session…you will absolutely know if Pilates is right for you. All sessions held in our Corte Madera location right off Hwy. 101 in Marin just 20 minutes from San Francisco and 35 minutes from the East Bay and Sonoma.

If you are new to Pilates, it is recommended that you begin with a series of privates sessions. You will work one on one with your trainer who will be able to create, change and modify a program specifically based on your needs and fitness goals. This is also ideal if you are working with any injuries or special needs. Working privately gives you the flexibility of picking your own work out time.

Have someone you would like to work out with? This is a fun option that also helps defray some of the cost. You can also ask us about teaming you up with someone.

Equipment Classes (3-4 people)
We offer over 30 equipment classes each week and are constantly adding more on demand. Classes are the most affordable way to practice Pilates. Have a group of friends or office mates that would like to all work out together…come on in and we’ll create a class just for you.

Self-Directed Workouts
We recognize that while working with a trainer alone or in small groups works well for some…some peoples schedules may work better with the flexibility of working out on their own. This may also be ideal for people who have done Pilates before and want a place to continue their practice. This program requires that the client can demonstrate a certain level of proficiency on all the equipment. Of course there will always be a certified trainer on hand to help with any questions and once a month tune-ups with a trainer are recommended.
